The newly formed Penn Chamber Orchestra will be presenting their very first concert with some of the most iconic works of the genre, featuring music by Johannes Brahms and Felix Mendelssohn. The program opens with the solemnity of Brahms' Tragic overture, followed by his delightful Variations on a Theme by Haydn. Following intermission, Mendelsohn dazzles us with his his beloved symphony no. 4, also known as the Italian symphony. We look forward to sharing this evening of exciting music-making with you!
