String Quartets at a Distance
The Daedalus Quartet
The Daedalus Quartet, Penn’s resident string quartet, presents an exploration of the difficulties and rewards of playing chamber music during a pandemic. The quartet, whose members are spread out across three cities in two continents, will premiere works by Joshua Hey and Nathan Courtright, written with these constraints in mind. The program will also feature music of Vijay Iyer and Franz Josef Haydn, as well as a live discussion with Hey, Courtright, and the members of the ensemble.
This program is free and open to the public.
