Members of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia

This workshop will feature a chamber ensemble of musicians from the COP designed to shine a spotlight on the sophisticated, panoramic art of improvisation in chamber music of the 17th-century.  The workshop will allow Penn graduate students in composition an opportunity to discuss issues surrounding commissioning, premiering, and performing a new work with professional musicians.  

This workshop is in partnership with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the Annenberg Center as a part of the Chamber Orchestra's program "Baroque Unbound" on November 1st featuring Kevin Laskey's WORLD PREMIERE, "Charade (an uruly dance suite)".
