Thoughts and Dreams – Songs for the Journey

November 21, 2021 (Sunday) – 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

St Mary's Church Hamilton Village
3916 Locust Walk
Philadelphia, PA 19104

The Penn Chorale presents an afternoon of music that centers on thinking and dreaming – about love, about faith, about life.   We will perform songs with texts by poets such as Langston Hughes and Wendell Berry and music by composers Eric Whitacre, Rosephanye Powell, Abbie Betinis, Billy Joel, and more.  Come listen to us sing, and come think and dream with us.

Penn Choral is an ensemble that sings a variety of choral music, concentrating on music composed in the 21st and late 20th centuries.  Penn Chorale is conducted by Elizabeth Braden. Rehearsals are Thursdays from 6-8 pm and there is one concert per semester. More information.

***Unfortunately, due to technical issues, we will no longer be live streaming this concert. We will release a recording of the performances on our YouTube channel within the next week or two. We apologize for the change in plans and hope you return to the Music Department YouTube channel to watch the recordings!***
