The Jazz and Popular Music Minor offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of music that can be integrated with many approaches to the study of contemporary culture, and can include academically-based community service as a form of learning.
The Jazz and Popular Music Minor may combine with the flexible Music Minor. Please note that students pursuing both minors can only count ONE course toward both sets of requirements (that is, students completing both minors will take at least 11 music courses) and only one credit transferred from another institution may count toward minor requirements.
This minor may also serve Music Majors wishing to highlight an interest in Jazz and pop.
