Our December 7 concert will feature Latin American folk and holiday music. The centerpiece will be Ariel Ramirez's Misa Criolla, a vernacular mass setting based on the rhythms and traditions of Latin America. The piece features Argentinian folk melodies and dance styles and is arranged for soloists, choir, and indigenous instruments. Other pieces include well-loved folk arrangements from Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, and Spain.
