in Routledge’s miscellany “Recomposing the Past”
Third-year graduate student in musicology Maria Ryan has just published an article in the miscellaneous collection “Recomposing the Past: Representations of Early Music on Stage and Screen,” edited by James Cook, Alexander Kolassa, and Adam Whittaker, for the London publisher Routledge. The essay is entitled “Angels in the Archive: Animating the Past in Written on Skin,” and is devoted to George Benjamin and Martin Crimp’s 2012 opera based on the life of troubadour Guillem de Cabestenh. Congratulations Maria!
