Katherine Scahill Awarded 21st Century Grant from the Society of Ethnomusicology

4th-year Ethnomusicology student, Katherine Scahill, has been awarded the 2020 SEM 21st Century Grant for her work entitled, “Voice and the Gendered Politics of Spiritual Authority in Thai Buddhist Modernity.”

The Society for Ethnomusicology 21st Century grant is awarded to "further excellence in ethnomusicological research through support to two highly qualified Ph.D. students for dissertation fieldwork."
