With the recent departure of our director of the orchestra and wind ensemble, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Michael Ketner has accepted the one-year interim position of Director of the Wind Ensemble. Mike has his D.M.A from Eastman School of Music (University of Rochester, Rochester, NY) as well as a certificate in non-profit administration from the Fels Institute here at Penn. He is also the University of Pennsylvania Department of Music Director of Performance and Admissions Liaison.
Mike has served as conductor of the Eastman Trombone Choir, Eastman School of Music; Instructor of Music, (Low Brass) at Mansfield University (PA); and Assistant Professor of Music (Low Brass), Prairie View A&M University (Texas). He has also provided private lessons and chamber coaching through the Penn College House Music Lesson Program for many years.
