His paper: "Yurupari Stereo: Exchange of Listenings, Digital Media and Repatriation of Indigenous Musical Archives in Uaupés" at International Symposium Music, Tradition and Creativity in the Digital Era organized by Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá Colombia, October 11-12, 2019. Juan Castrillon also has a film in progress ~KIRAIÑIA (Long Flutes) which is part of his dissertation and was selected to be presented at the symposium "Film as Ethnography, Activism, and Public Work in Ethnomusicology” at the annual conference of the Society for Ethnomusicology (SEM) in Indiana University in Bloomington, November 6th, 2019.
