2018 Grant Awards from the Sachs Program

Congratulations to both Eugene Lew, Director of Sound and Music Technology, and Kevin Laskey, PhD candidate in composition, for being awarded inaugural grants through the Sachs Program for Arts Innovation.

Kevin Laskey was awarded a grant under the "PRESENTING ART:  Student Art Engagement Grants" category - his project, entitled "Almanac:  An Evening-Length work for classical musicians & improvisers", will be presented in Spring 2019. 

Also under the "PRESENTING ART" category, Eugene Lew was awarded a Provosts Interdisciplinary Grant for MUSICA PRACTICA / ELETTRONICA VIVA to present a series of electronic music performances and ELECTRO-PYTHAGORAS, a film by Luke Fowler that presents and intimate and subjective portrait of the late Martin Bartlett (pictured).
