Prof. Goodman has been awarded both a fellowship of the American Council for Learned Societies (for her book project "Strategic Sounds: Native American Music in the Era of Colonial Conquest") and the membership in the School of Historical Studies of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton (for the area of American Music History).
