Penn Music honors retiring faculty composer Jay Reise with a concert of his chamber music, including two premieres. Best known as the composer of the opera Rasputin, commissioned by the New York City Opera, Reise has created a distinctive body of work that reflects varied influences, from Scriabin to jazz to the Carnatic music of southern India.
