ABOUT PENN ARAB PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE
One of the largest active flute choirs in the United States, Penn Flutes includes flutists from the ranks of Penn undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and staff, as well as members of the surrounding community. Performances take place both on campus and around the region alongside our community partners. Repertoire spans a variety of genres from the Renaissance through Modern eras, and select members may be offered the opportunity to perform on piccolo as well as bass and alto flutes.
ABOUT PENN BRAZILIAN SAMBA
Open to all students in the Penn community as well as to members of the greater Philadelphia community, this ensemble explores a wide range of Arab music and provides students with the opportunity to learn through coachings provided by several professional performers of Arab music. The Arab Music Ensemble participates in performances hosted and organized by PennMusic and members will also have the opportunity to perform at functions and events around Penn’s campus.
